Open House

We went to Open House at Nate school tonight. He gave us a great tour of his classroom and all of the Specials rooms (Music, PE, Art). We really enjoyed seeing some of his work. His teacher also told us that they've had another teacher spending one on one time with him to build up his confidence in writing. He won't write anything down before he asks if its correct.

The highlight of the evening were special surveys the kids answered about their parents. I was reading each one trying to find Nate's. Kenny cheated and just looked at the backs of all of them. There was no need to cheat because we could have easily picked his out. Here's what it said:

What is your favorite thing your dad cooks? Spaghetti.
What do you like to do with your dad? Play with Lego Batman.
Why is he special? Because he was born before my mom.

What does she do at work? Plays games on her computer.
What does your mom like to do? Spend time with me.
What is your favorite thing your mom cooks? Macaroni and Cheese.
What do you like to do with your mom? Help her.
Why is she special? Because she really loves me.

I'd say he's 92% 83% correct. I do more than play games on my computer at work! And Kenny doesn't cook Spaghetti!
