Barn-icles 6/2/09 (The Pool Hopping Weekend)

Last weekend was crazy! Read closely, there is a quiz at the end.

To start off here is a picture of me and the kids from Wednesday playing in the backyard. It was nice and relaxing.

On Thursday Kenny and I had our first church softball game. It was at 9:00 so one of us had to stay home with the kids. I was the lucky one that got to go play. I think the team we played was trophy hunting in the A league. We lost 20 to 2 or 3. It wasn't much fun.

After work/school on Friday we had another bike riding lesson. Nate's football friend William, who lives in our neighborhood, is also learning to ride a two wheeler. We met up with him and his grandmother, Ginger. The boys had a good evening together. After bike riding they played Wii at our house, then swam at William's house, then had dinner at Williams. Ginger said they each at 1/2 lb hamburger! All that playing must have made them really hungry.

Saturday morning we got up and hung out around the house. Nate and I baked a cake. He did a really good job of helping. Here he is cleaning the bowl.

This is what the finished cake looked like after we ate some of it Saturday night.

Kenny helped set up and tear down a fundraiser for a friend who was injured in a motorcycle accident. Nate's football team had a bake sale to help raise money. I didn't make it up there, but I heard it was a good event.

We spent Saturday afternoon swimming with our friends Matt, Lauren, Ashleigh, and Ellie.

Nate and Ashleigh are going to get married and have one awesome reception. I have it planned already. There will be a mariachi band, beer, and margaritas.
I love how it looks like Gray is participating in the conversation here.
We hadn't purchased a float for Gray yet, so he had to borrow Ellie's. You'll be glad to know that we did buy one and it is less girly. His is dark blue with ducks. (Hey, Oscar P!)
After church on Sunday we went to a pool party to celebrate Nate's football season. All of the boys had a blast. The parents had a darn good time too. I didn't take my camera because I figured plenty of other people would have theirs. I guess I was wrong, so I don't have any pictures. We partied like Kindergartners from 2 until 8.

I do have some pictures of Gray with his current favorite toy. It's a penguin punching bag type thing. He's been carrying it around alot lately.

We have another big weekend in front of us. Nate's Kindergarten Graduation is on Friday. Cooper and Ryan will be visiting this weekend. We're taking the boys to a Rough Riders game. Grandmommy and Granddaddy's pool just got re-finished and we have to go check it out too.

Now for the quiz:

Without looking, how many different pools did we visit over the weekend?
