End of Spring Football

Oh my, this blog has been neglected. I'm working to dust off the cob webs and catch up.

The weekend of May 1 and 2 was Nate's last weekend of football for the spring. They won the game on Saturday and lost on Sunday. Nate did a great job in both games.

Granny Debbie planned to come to the game on Saturday, but due to the early morning weather we thought the game would be canceled and told her to stay home. Unfortunately we were wrong and they did play.

Nate's friend Graham, the one who doesn't like potatoes, came over after Saturday's game. The boys had a great time and Graham didn't want to leave. They spent a lot of time outside having light saber fights.

The whole Barnes crew came to the game on Sunday. Auntie Shana took these great pictures for us.

Grandmommy and Granddaddy posed for pictures with Gray.

Nate got to be a captain for the last game and went out to center field for the coin toss.

Nate had some good carries...

...and made some nice tackles.

He's pretty good at faking too.

The middle of a football game is not the time to try to figure out how to tie your shoe.

This is Nate's "what the heck?" play. It was supposed to be a fake to Zane and a carry for Nate. I love Nate's "WTH?" expression.

Of course Gray had to get a play in. Cousin Cooper played a little football with him.

Here are some video highlights of the two games.

I just can't stand for Nate to go without an organized sport, so he started Power Tumbling last week. He really enjoyed the class and is looking forward to going back this week. Won't it be awesome for him to do a standing back flip after he scores a touchdown next season? (I might have my expectations set a little high. He can't really do a cartwheel yet. But he's working on it.)
